Current Trends in Reward Management Practices

The establishment of guidelines and procedures for recognizing every individual within the firm consistently and equitably is known as reward management. Rewarding employees with exemplary service elevates their value perception and could be a key motivational device to boost efficiency. There are varieties of reward management practices in the current world and some of them are as follows:

  • Encourage a world that is diverse and balanced:
Companies do not even operate in isolation, and individuals are who make a firm successful. The imperative of gender equality in the community and how it impacts work leaders' responsibilities were among the important themes that were persuaded in the last year. In order to operate effectively in 2021, competitive reward initiatives should indeed enhance a civilization that is greater equal, and inclusive.
  • Offer holistic rewards:
When team members are not efficiently concentrated, teams will never perform. The responsibility for focusing on the total workers and providing ways to support staff both at work and outside of it falls on people managers. Consider the holistic incentives when developing the incentives catalog.
  • Link recognition to the intention:
Teams will value attaching recognition to purpose even more in 2021. It is the duty of a manager to schedule meetings for appreciation and to link it to a mission assigned that organizations must balance telework, environmental health standards, or other constraints.
  • Expect the adoption of virtual gift certificates as a rewarding method to expand:
A significant proportion of the working population currently operates in a dispersed, virtual environment as a consequence of the COVID-19 outbreak. Companies recognize the importance of renewing funds for autonomously electronic gift vouchers in replacement of experiencing incentives and in-office bonuses that go underutilized.

An example of the reward management trend followed in an organization:

  • Coco Cola Company provides yearly, quarterly, and monthly rewards for its employees, for example, recognizing employees for quarterly sales, and increments on employee salary.
  • HSBC Bank initiated a campaign that aligns remuneration to the individual employee and generates company success. According to their degree and the responsibilities of their employment, workers are intended to obtain "on-target" rewards under the remuneration policy.
